About the Artist

I’m a New Jersey-based illustrator and Surface Print/Pattern Designer. I attended Moore College of Art and Design where I received a BFA in illustration. Since that time, I have created projects for a variety of clients including Hudson Valley Seed Co., the Smithsonian, the US Department of Agriculture, Urban Outfitters Home, and Anthropologie.

In my creative journey as an illustrator and surface print designer, I find inspiration in the intricate beauty of the natural world. Nature, with its boundless diversity and delicate balance, serves as my ultimate muse. My artistic process involves meticulous observation, as I immerse myself in the details of each subject.

While my primary focus is botanical illustration, my passion for the living world extends to encompass a fascination with birds and other animals. By capturing their grace and vitality through art, I aim to bridge the gap between human society and the wild, encouraging a deeper understanding and appreciation for these creatures' importance in our shared ecosystems.

As a surface pattern designer, I harness the patterns and forms that nature provides, transforming them into designs for a variety of surfaces, from textiles to stationery. Through my patterns, I seek to instill a sense of wonder and connection with the natural world, inviting viewers to explore the delicate dance between repetition and variation, order and spontaneity.

My creative philosophy is rooted in a deep respect for ecological balance and sustainable practices. I believe that by celebrating the beauty of plants and animals, we can also cultivate an awareness of their fragility and the importance of their preservation. With this in mind, my work often carries subtle messages of environmental stewardship.
